Renters Responsibilities
Responsibility for the rental items remains with the Customer during the rental period, which includes from the time the items are in the Customer’s possession until the items are accepted back into the possession of Lior Candles. Under no circumstances are rental items to be left at unattended premises. Rental items are not to be used by any other third party.
Rental Period
The rental period of customers that choose to select the dry hire option, is for 1 day. Lior Candles must agree to any extension to this period. This means that if the customer dry hires the item, they must return it within 1 day.
If your items are delivered by Lior Candles, we will pick the items up either on the same day or the following day at the venue. This pick-up time and date will be discussed with the hirer.
Condition of Items
We pride ourselves on ensuring our hire items are kept to a high quality standard. As our collection is made up of hired pieces some items do show some wear from frequent use.
Upon return of the rental items to Lior Candles, Lior Candles will inspect the items to ensure they are in the same condition as they were supplied i.e. no chips or cracks.
Delivery & Collection
Lior Candles is located in Sydney, NSW and services the Sydney region.
Delivery & collection service is available for events held in Sydney with no minimum hire spend.Delivery and set up fees will apply based on the Customer’s proximity to our Headquarters, quantity of items hired and delivery and collection days/times (weekend and early morning/late night surcharges apply) which will be added to their invoice.
Customers with small order sizes have the option to dry hire items (pickup and return rental items to our Headquarters) free of charge.
Delivery/collect & pick-up/return times to be agreed at time of booking. Lior Candles will not be liable for any delivery or collection delays caused by circumstances beyond their control.
Delivery of Services/Goods, Delivery and Return of Equipment
Audio Guestbook Pick-Up:
Our Audio Guestbook is to be picked up from our headquarters in Sydney, NSW. The hire period for the Audio Guestbook is for 1 day.After 1 day you will need to drop off the Audio Guestbook, so that we can get your audio messages ready for you. If you selected our delivery option we will either pick up same day or the following day at your selected venue.
Delivery of Content
You will receive access to your private gallery of audio messages within 2 business days of receiving your equipment back. You will receive all the content recorded on the Guestbook.
Preloaded Voice Greeting
You have the option of recording your voice greeting when you receive your Guestbook.
Hire Period
All products are hired out on a maximum 1-day hire basis – typically Friday to Monday.
Hirer pick up and drop off is at our Headquarters.
Should the Hirer fail to return the products within the allocated time frame a late fee/extension fee day will be charged at the rate decided by Lior Candles.
Care, Washing & Packaging
Our collection includes fragile items and breakables. The Customer is responsible for taking extra care when handling the rental items, including informing others (i.e. venue) of this, to prevent breakages or damage to items.
All rental items supplied by Lior Candles are clean, hygienic and ready to use. We ask that all food & liquids be removed from the rental items after use. Please see below for specific cleaning instructions by item type.
Please rinse and remove excess food & liquid on our champagne coupes.
Please do not wash the champagne coupes, only rinse with water and remove excess liquid from the champagne coupes. Lior Candles will take care of all of the cleaning of hired items.

Understanding that convenience is key for our cherished clients, we've innovated our hiring process to be as smooth and hassle-free as possible.
Recognising the importance of trust and ease in our transactions, we've decided to forego the traditional bond payment that many hire services require. Instead of a financial deposit, we simply ask our customers to upload a copy of their license. This not only streamlines the hiring process but also reinforces the mutual trust between us and our customers.
You as the hirer agree that Lior Candles may use these details should the conditions of hire be broken and thus our customers partake in a transparent and fair agreement.
The hirer will need to upload their licence and agree that Lior Candles may use these details should the hirer break the conditions of hire.
Damaged or Lost Faux Cake
You will incur a charge equivalent to the replacement cost of the faux cake if it is damaged, broken, or lost. This cost reflects the original purchase price of the faux cake.
Damaged or Lost Champagne Coupes
If you damage or lose the champagne coupes, you will need to pay $10 for each coupe lost/damaged.
Broken/Damaged Cylinder Candles
If you damage, break or lose our cylinder candles, you will be charged as per the replacement value of the cylinder vase. Replacement value of our rental items is based on the current retail value. The replacement value will need to be paid via bank transfer.
All reimbursements shall be paid by the Hirer within 48hrs of notification of damage/loss and may be subject to late fee/extension fee if overdue.
Audio Guestbook
If you damage or lose our Audio Guestbook, you will be charged as per the replacement value of the Audio Guestbook.
The replacement value will need to be paid via bank transfer.
All reimbursements shall be paid by the Hirer within 48hrs of notification of damage/loss and may be subject to late fee/extension fee if overdue.
Damaged, Breakage & Loss
We recommend that the Customer inspects the items after use to check for any damage, breakage, loss and cleanliness and advise us on their return. Lior Candles will also complete their inspection and will notify the Customer within 3 days of their return of the status of their hire items. This gives Lior Candles ample time to count, clean and reconcile orders.
Where items are found to be missing, it is the responsibility of the Customer to investigate their whereabouts. Should hire items be located at a later date, it is the responsibility of the Customer to return them to Lior Candles at their own cost. If items are located but not returned by the Customer, the replacement value will be deducted from the bond and the hirer will be required to pay the replacement value.
If there is any damage, breakage or loss to the rental items the Customer will be charged as per the replacement value. Replacement value of our rental items is based on the current retail value. The replacement value will be deducted and will need to be paid via bank transfer.
All items supplied by Lior Candles shall always be deemed owned by Lior Candles.
All products are supplied to the Hirer on the basis of reasonable use within the advertised context.
Should any item/s become lost, stolen or damaged when in possession of the Hirer, the Hirer shall immediately notify Lior Candles. The Hirer agrees to pay for all products lost, destroyed, broken, stolen, damaged or not returned to Lior Candles.
Replacement costs will be paid to Lior Candles based on the current pricing and availability of the items on the market. Should no equivalent item be found by Lior Candles then the Hirer is to reimburse Lior Candles the cost in cash or bank transfer at a cost set by Lior Candles.
All reimbursements shall be paid by the Hirer within 48hrs of notification of damage/loss and may be subject to late fee/extension fee if overdue.
Payment Policies
50% deposit is required upon receiving the invoice to secure the order. This reserves all rental items listed on the Customer’s invoice.
The remaining payment must be paid 7 days before the event date.
Orders are not confirmed unless a 50% payment is paid. An invoice is valid for 7 days after issue to customer, before items are released to other customers.
We accept bank transfer payments. Lior Candles account details are included on Customer invoice.
Order Changes & Cancellations
Cancellations of orders can be made up to 7 days from event date. If cancelled within 7 days of your event, you will be charged 50% of the total hire cost given the lost opportunity to hire those items to other clients.
All cancellations need to be given in writing. No verbal cancellations shall be accepted to minimise any misunderstandings.
Liability
Lior Candles is not liable for any injury, death, personal harm, or property damage to individuals or items of the Customer arising from the rental of items or any other damage caused directly or indirectly by us (the independent supplier).
Extras
Equipment Ready-To-Go – We charge Guest Book batteries to 100 percent prior to dispatch (and preload with your voice greeting) so that you only need to turn them on to begin recording audio messages.
Repairs & Alterations – You agree not to attempt to repair or materially alter the physical or otherwise makeup of the Guest Book under any circumstance regardless of fault unless given written consent by Hey Hire.
Removal of Content – You agree not to attempt to remove content from the Guest Book unless given written consent by Hey Hire.
Errors Using Equipment – We will provide you with instruction on how to operate your Equipment with the inclusion of a physical instruction card, through emails and via images/video.
Loss of Content – We take the greatest care in ensuring the safe transport of the Guest Book, the extraction of content, and delivery of the content to you. In the unlikely event that content is lost or damaged for reasons not related to actions taken by you, we will provide you with a full refund.
